The Lofoten Islands emerge from the Norwegian Sea, above the Arctic Circle. This set of islands with incredible mountains that are born from the sea with very alpine peaks and from which you will enjoy unique views. Among these mountains it has been formed the famous Norwegian fjords and among them some incredible fishing villages with a lot of tradition and charm.

A natural paradise for lovers of ski touring, but also surfing, kayaking, fishing or even scuba diving and as not trekking, climbing or mountain biking.
Everything depends on the season of the year that you go!

The weather

NOTHING IS AS COLD AS IT LOOKS.

The weather in Lofoten is not very cold for the latitude and this is because the Gulf Stream. For this reason, fishing has been essential in the economic development of these islands. In February and March, Cod enters the archipelago and we can see the islander’s fish and dry the fish Torfisk for 6 months in order to store and cook it later.
In the fishing villages you can see and discover their old Rorbu, the huts used by the fishermen at the beginning of century.

Magic in the Norwegian sky

ENJOY THE NATURAL SPECTACLE OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS FROM THE END OF SEPTEMBER TO MID-APRIL.

The Vikings were the most important cultural icons of ancient Norway and, as not of Lofoten. In these islands, little has changed: the mountains, the sea, the fjords… This movie spot is the ideal setting for the Viking Museum of Lofotr, an old Iron Age farm that houses the largest known Viking building, blacksmith’s forge and a royal oars boat.
This reconstruction of a Viking village and their guides dressed according to the theme bring us the reality of the way of life of this civilization.
